Your Worth As a Child of God

As a child of God, your worth in life is determined by the worth of God; your Father. What is the worth of God?

Psalms 24:1

The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein.

Psalms 50:10

For every beast at the forest is mine and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

Haggai 2:8

The silver is more and the gold is mine saith the Lord of Hosts.

1 Chronicle 29:11 –12

Thine O, Lord is the greatness, and the power and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty. For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is thine.

Thine is the kingdom, O Lord and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee and thou reigneth over all, and in thine hand is power and might and in thine hand it is to make great and give strength unto all.

God is the creator of all things. All things are His, whether in heaven or on earth. You are the legitimate child of this great God, the owner of all things. As his child, you are his heir.

Romans 8:16 –17

The Spirit itself beraeth witness with our Spirit that we are the children of God. And if children then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.

All things are yours because you are the heir of the owner of all things. It is important to know who you are, and to live according to knowledge. Without the correct knowledge of who you are in Christ, you can never have the right assessment of yourself. When one does not have the right assessment of himself, he will be exploited. The reason some people are envious of others and feel inferior is that they lack understanding. No body is a better heir of God than you are. Stop brooding and feeling you are nobody. You are the heir of God. There is no respect of persons with God. What He did for one He can do for all. Do not allow the devil to take advantage of your ignorance, and cheat you. Peace, health, prosperity, wisdom, soundness of mind and much more belong to you. You have a right to all these as His heir.

The story of the prodigal son is a very good example of what happens to one who does not know his right. In Luke 15: 11-19; The prodigal son understood that as an heir of his father, he had a right to his own portion of inheritance, so he made a demand on what legally was his and his father gave him his own portion of inheritance. Now this son was a waster, he went and spent all his inheritance in a riotous living. The senior brother of the prodigal son did not know his right and he never asked for it.

Having spent all he had and being in penury, this prodigal son returned to his father and was welcomed with a big celebration. The senior brother; though obedient to his father, became envious of his younger brother because the father welcomed him with celebrations. Many children of God behave like the senior brother of the prodigal son. They waste their time being envious of the progress of others. There is no need for that; you are the heir of God. God is good to all. Do you lack any thing? Ask; and it shall be given you in the Name of Jesus.

John 14:13

And whatever ye shall ask in my name that will I do that the father may be glorified in the son.

YOU ARE A KING.

Revelation 1: 5-6

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.

Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and the Father to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever Amen.

You are a king in Christ Jesus. Moreover, your kingship is not man made; but Jesus Himself made you one. There is no king on earth that is more important than you. Mortal men enthrone the kings of the earth. In your case, the kings of kings Himself is the one who has enthroned you. Kings are enthroned to reign in their domain. You have been enthroned to reign in this life. To rule over all the works of God.

Genesis 1:26

And God said, let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Circumstances and situations are to be subject to you. In Christ you are crowned to rule; to be in charge. That is the mandate you have received.

Kings reign, they reign by their words. The words of your mouth are powerful. Angels are waiting to carry out your commandments. Decree a thing and it shall be established.

Ecclesiastes 8: 4

Where the word of a king is there is power, and who may say unto him, what doeth thou?

Jesus is the king of kings. His word is sharper than any two edged. As you allow the word to full your heart, your mouth shall declare it. Everything responds to the word of God. You will be able to subdue all things through the word of God. So keep declaring the word. God, your creator is keeping everything He created through his powerful word.

Hebrews 1:3

Who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged out sins sat down the right hand of majesty on high.

Take charge of your world through your words. You are after the order of God, rule your world, take a hold of your dominion, cast off away every enemy and opposition through your words.

Your authority in the word is exercised through the Name of Jesus. God has given the Name of Jesus to you so that your dominion can be established. Use the Name of Jesus.

Mark 16:17

And these signs shall follow them that believe, in my name shall they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpent, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.

Remember you have been crowned a king to reign in life. Kings do not joke with words. Let no idle words proceed from your mouth. Successful kings have sound knowledge of kingship and kingdom. We reign in life by Jesus.

To gain stability and peace in your reign on earth, you must grow in the knowledge of Christ. Your kingship is prestigious. Do not allow any thing to defile or diminish you as a king. You are a priest.

In Christ Jesus, every believer is a priest of God. Jesus made us priests.

Revelation 1:6

And hath made us kings and priest unto God and the father to him be glory and dominion forever and ever Amen.

The duty of a priest is to offer up sacrifices to God for himself and the people. Some of these sacrifices are our praise, prayers and worship.

Hebrews 13:15

By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

We are unlike the priest in the old testament that could not approach the presence of God without atoning for their sins and that of the people first. We have a direct access to God because Jesus has been made our righteousness.

1 Corinthians 1:30

But if Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

It is important for you to know that you are a righteous priest. Jesus made you one. Never lose you sense of righteousness. It gives you boldness and confidence in the place of prayer.

James 5:16b

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

You are a righteous priest. Your prayer produces tremendous power that can change any situation. Instead of crying or looking for sympathy take advantage of your righteousness in Christ Jesus pray and turn that situation around.
