When a man gets on the rollercoaster of life. He just keeps going. The demands of life keep coming at him and he feels the obligation to respond to all of them. Work demands, family responsibilities and personal commitments keep arising and he almost can't stop running. The truth is most times, we are not as busy as we think we are. The major issue is the inability to pinpoint the things that matter. As a result, we are so confused and want to respond to a lot of things at

1.Now at that time Herod[Agrippa I] the king [of the Jews] arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to harm them. 2 And he had James the brother of John put to death with a sword; 3 and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to have Peter arrested as well. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread [the Passover week]. 4 When he had seized Peter, he put him in prison, turning him over to four squads of soldiers of four each to guard him [in rotation throughout the

And now I commend you to God [placing you in His protective, loving care] and [I commend you] to the word of His grace [the counsel and promises of His unmerited favor]. His grace is able to build you up and to give you the [rightful] inheritance among all those who are sanctified [that is, among those who are set apart for God’s purpose—all believers] (Acts 20:33 AMP) Every child of God has an inheritance (rights, privileges and possessions). God has blessed us with every blessing. Reposed in our redemption is

Luke 12:22-31 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be

To be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life. (Romans 8:6) Trust in the Lord with all thy heart; and lean not unto thy own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Be not wise in thy own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil (every form of self-exaltation above the knowledge of God) It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Proverbs 3:5-8 Many times, the attention is usually focused more on the unbelievers whenever

How to stand against the devil (Part 4)

You resist him with boldness and confidence. If you are not bold you cannot get the devil to bow to you. It takes boldness and confidence in the Word and ability of God to command the devil. Where there is no boldness there must be fear, and fear is a weapon of the enemy. From 2 Tim. 1:6-7, we discover that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love, and of a sound mind. We also see that fear will stop you from maximizing God's

How to stand against the devil (Part 3)

You resist Him in the Name of Jesus. Today we see people trying to resist the devil through flogging, through the use of some so-called holy water (there is no, and there has never been any holy water anywhere in the world), in the name of a prophet, G.O. or angel. Some try to get the devil to obey them in the name of Mary, or one of the 'saints'. This is all very ridiculous from a spiritual point of view, and that is why the devil is having a field

How to stand against the devil (Part 2)

You have authority over the devil. Authority - the legal right to exercise power of rule, has been given to us over the devil and his cohorts in Jesus' name. That's why Jesus said, "In My Name, they (talking of you and me) shall cast out demons..." Mark 16:17. You only exercise that victory through the Name of Jesus (more on this later, but suffice it to say that is the only way to exercise the authority we have over Satan and his demons). Remember, Jesus said in Luke 10:19, "Behold,

How to stand against the devil (Part 1)

Too often, as Christians, we do not get the results we ought to  in our stand against the devil,  because we do not know how to confront him, so he gets away with whatever harm he's done. Before you can "treat" him right, you need to know about him, know how you can confront him and know you weapon of attack. Let us see the right way to confront him. Have the right Knowledge of God's Word- "My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge", God says in Hosea 4:6.

Philippians 3:13 I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. The past is gone forever, there is nothing one can about it but the future can be written in gold if you will learn to forget the past and move forward in life. The scriptures tell us that
