Text: Isaiah 1:19
If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.
Two things are required of us – willingness and obedience. Willingness to enter into God’s abundance. Willingness not to remain poor, and of course obedience to His word. If you are going to prosper in life, you will have to be obedient to the word of God. The word of God is God’s covenant. He acts in line with His covenant. Prosperity establishes God’s covenant with, His people.
Deuteronomy 8:18
And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers as it is this day.
The power to prosper is from God. He prospers us to establish His covenant. Our God is a covenant keeping God. He does not deviate from His covenant.
Genesis 8:22
While the earth remains, seed, time and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, And day and night shall nor cease.
As long as the earth remains, there will always be seedtime and harvest. This is the secret of walking in prosperity. You need to plant your seed to get a harvest. Anyone that will not sow will have nothing to reap.
Any farmer that eats his seeds risks hunger and famine. No matter how much we can pray if we do not sow, we have nothing to reap.
A farmer sows his seeds, not necessarily, because it is his hobby, but because he is expecting a harvest. God multiplies our seeds. He gives the increase. It therefore means that for you to walk in prosperity, you must be a sower.
Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
What you sow is what you reap. If you sow maize, you reap maize; if you sow yam seedlings, you must reap yam. In the same way, if you sow money, you will reap money. You must sow to reap.
2 Corinthians 9:6
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Your harvest is dependent on your sowing. You will always reap in proportion to what you have sown. Stingy people cannot prosper. They cannot get to the place God has earmarked for them. You have to be biblical with your giving. Your giving is the avenue for your prosperity.
