John 1:12-13
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:12-13)
MEMORY VERSE
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (1John 3:9)
The life of a Christian is a supernatural life; walking in the supernatural is the normal christian life. Every child of God is a supernatural being; we are not ordinary. The supernatural life is the life God has ordained for us to live. The supernatural is the realm of God; this is where God exists. It is the realm of the miraculous.
"Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion." (Isaiah 8:18)
Every child of God is a sign and a wonder, you are supernatural. Your birth into God's kingdom is not physical, it is supernatural. We are born of the supernatural God. The new birth is what initiates you into the realm of God.
"No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, for God's nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God." (1 John 3:9 AMP)
No one has the nature of God and loves sin. The nature of God refers to the principle of the life of God. You are a man with the seed of God in you. Being born of God is having God's life and nature in you. The new birth is what introduces us to God's family. We become possessed with God's nature the moment we give our lives to Christ.
"Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)
You become a brand-new person the moment you come to Christ. Coming to Christ is a work of creation. You are not the old man made over; you are a new work of creation. The old nature was crucified with Christ and we were given God's own nature; the nature of righteousness and holiness.
Prayer Points for Today:
- Thank Him for whom God has made you in Him
- Thank Him because you are a new creation, you no longer have the old man
