Religion won't save you; neither will morals!

The problem of your life is not necessarily the addictions you might struggle with; it is not even the sins you commit day in and day out, it is not your failures and depression, lack and poverty. All these are secondary.

Similarly, being nice, seemingly morally upright, and good to people won't save your soul. You might even think, 'I'm alright, I'm fine,' even when handed this material. But really, are you alright? Are you certain about your life here and now and what eternity holds for you? Praying five times a day won't save you, giving to the poor and being nice to people won't save your soul either; neither will merely going to church.

The biggest fear that confronts humans is the lack of joy and fulfilment, the emptiness in the soul caused by separation from God. God is calling you to a real and personal relationship with Him, He wants to be your Father and lead you in every single step of life so that you won't have to share in the confusion of the world. You can only have that level of relationship with God if you have His nature. God's nature is perfect Holiness, He tolerates nothing short of Holiness in dealing with people. It is the nature of sin in man that reproduces the sinful acts; a dog must bark by nature!

Left on our own, we do not have the capacity to be right with God because of a contrary nature. God is love, and He is also righteous; He doesn't overlook sin and yet He is merciful to those who accept His provision of a new nature and life.

This new nature of righteousness in Christ produces the fruit of righteousness in anyone who accepts it.
