You have a new nature.
2 Corinthians 5:17–18
Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away behold all things are become new. All things are of God who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.
The moment a person accepts Jesus Christ, he is made a new creation, through the creative power of the Holy Spirit, he becomes a brand new man, someone who has never existed before.
This new man is created with the very nature of God, having the gene of God. The new man has the makeup of God.
Ephesians 4:24
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
The new man is created to be as God, therefore producing a brand new creature.
The old man which is the nature of sin, becomes crucified with Christ
Romans 6:6
Knowing this that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Immediately one comes to Christ, the old nature dies. God gives us a new nature. This nature is the nature of God. We received the gene of God. The gene of God is what makes God. That is what we have received in Christ Jesus.
YOUR PAST IS BLOTTED OUT
The new nature of God makes you a brand new being. Not a refurbished one. Moreover, because you are brand new you have no past. What is new is what has never existed before. When the old man died, he died with its deeds. That is the past. The bible said ‘Old things are passed away’ that is old things are dead. God in his wonderful work of redemption gave the believer a new nature. He blotted out them all our transgressions.
Isaiah 43:25
I, even I am he that blotted out thy transgressions for mine own sake and will not remember thy sins.
Every man in Christ Jesus is not just forgiven, but has his sins blotted out. Jesus has washed our sins away in His blood. We are eternally separated from our sins.
Revelation 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.
Praise God! You are washed; your past is blotted out. Let no man or the devil torment you with past issues. You are a brand new man; guiltless and sinless before God.
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ liveth in me, and the life which I now live in the fresh I live by faith of the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Do not yield to the devil, do not allow him torment you, with your pasts. Stand against his harassments.
A man of God, who used to go stealing with his friends when he was an unbeliever, gave his life to Christ. He understood he had become became a new creature, he went to preach to his friends who were still stealing. They reminded him they used to commit crime together
The man looked them in the face and said, no; I never did. The one who did is dead. That should be your attitude. That man had understanding.
THE HOLY SPIRIT LIVES IN YOU.
Everyone in Christ Jesus has the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit baptizes believers into the body of Christ.
I Corinthian 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles; whether we be bond or free and have been all made to drink into one spirit.
As one receives Jesus Christ, God gives such a one the power to become the Son of God. The Spirit of God comes into such one and dwells in him forever.
Galatians 4:6
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying Abba Father.
Romans 8: 15
For ye have not received the Spirit of bondage again to fear but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry Abba Father.
I Corinthians 3:16
Know you not that ye are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
You are a house for the Spirit of the living God. You are His very habitation; the temple of the living God. That is who God created you to become at new birth. A temple is a holy place of prayer and worship. You are the sanctuary of God, His holy place. Anything that pollutes should not be found in your body. Your body is not for sin; nor is it for sickness and disease. It is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
You have a new identity in Christ Jesus. In time past, you were without God. You were not a people, lost in sin and on your way to hell. Now in Christ Jesus you have become His precious child, washed in His blood, sanctified and having His nature and Spirit.
